What the Tabernacle says about the COUNTDOWN, JUDGMENT, DISAPPOINTMENT, REMNANT, and the GOOD NEWS

SANCTUARY 201 – CLASS 4 Topic for study: What the design of the Tabernacle says about 1844 The Countdown that begins in the Courtyard How the tabernacle is associated with Judgment. The surprise element foretold (the disappointment). What characteristics help the Remnant to make it through Where the Good News is portrayed in the Judgment. First we need to make a distinction (again) between the tabernacle and the sanctuary The tabernacle is the building, the house, the body, the structure, place of defense & refuge, the man, the resource The sanctuary is the furnishings, the home, the organs of the body, the spirit of life, place of learning, the woman, the application of the resources THE COUNTDOWN The 6th panel of the goat hair curtain (Ex 26:7-9)      Imagine going home this evening and checking your computer for any email messages, or turning on the TV, or getting out your cellphone to make a call, and you see only a blood-red screen with the number 10 on it. It stays on for a whole minute and you can’t turn off the monitor or TV or cellphone. You go to your neighbors to tell them of the strange incident, only to find that they also experienced the same thing. You call the police to see if they know anything about it, and they are just as puzzled, for they, too...

1844 (the year) IN THE DESIGN OF THE TABERNACLE

Sanctuary 201 Class 5 GROUND RULES The first thing we need to do when starting a new game no one has played before is….? [lay down the ground rules] The Tabernacle also has ground rules. The Courtyard represents things happening on the earth The Tabernacle represents things happening in heaven From the last class we learned that the Tabernacle is different from the Sanctuary, though they work together. The Tabernacle works mostly with the basics, the foundations, and that is what we are considering today. Because heaven works on different levels than earth, we can expect God to alter some earthly things to better represent the heavenly. It had its own cubit (for measurement of size) Eze 43:13 “The tabernacle was so constructed that it could be taken apart and borne with the Israelites in all their journeyings. It was therefore small, being not more than fifty-five feet in length, and eighteen in breadth and height.” PP 347 [The structure was 30 cubits long and 10 cubits high. A regular cubit was 18”, or about a foot and a half. 10 x 1.5 feet = 15 feet. So the prophet saw that Ezekiel’s measurements were applicable to the first Tabernacle as well.] It set the standard on the shekel (for measurement of value) Exodus 30:13 (1/2 shekel for the sanctuary offering) Lev 27:25 (It set the standard for all...

AN UNFULFILLED PROPHECY … COMING (VERY) SOON

Throughout history God has spoken to His people through chosen messengers, like Noah, Moses, Daniel, Peter, John (the Revelator). What about in these end times? /will God speak through chosen contemporary messengers today? Act 2:17-21  And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: and on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall...

THE CHARACTER OF THE 144,000 …and Their Duties

And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.  And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb… Rev 15:2-3   Who are these people who gain victory over the beast, his image, mark, and number? It is the 144,000. What is it that distinguishes them to be considered the FIRSTFRUITS, the cream of the crop, of all the billions of redeemed? And why they only can learn the song of Moses and the Lamb? And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him 144,000, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: and they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the 144,000, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are...

BREAKING THE GIANT CODE

As with many of God’s parables and allegories, the real story is couched in figurative language. And what a story this is! It is one of five battles God’s people will need to fight and how they are promised victory in each one. Early in the Biblical record giants were mentioned (Genesis 6:4). However, out of all the giants, only seven were specifically discussed, and all of those as enemies of God’s people. As we read about these giants, and break the GIANT CODE in which most are described, we will see pictured in them real enemies we fight today—GIANT...
